Sarah joined NGC as Vice President of Corporate Development in in 2017. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of NGC’s fully-owned companies and partnerships, and manages relationships with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, all levels of government, and industry. She proudly resides in Nain, Nunatsiavut.

Before joining NGC, Sarah was employed by global mining company Vale as Aboriginal Affairs Superintendent for the Voisey’s Bay Mine in Labrador. Prior to that, she served a four-year term as President for the Nunatsiavut Government. She also completed a four-year term as Mayor of AngajukKak, Nain Inuit Community Government.

Sarah is very familiar with Nunatsiavut, its people, and the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement, and actively supported the strengthening of Inuit culture through language retention while acting as Executive Director of the OKalakatiget Society.
