As Head of the Indigenous Banking Unit (IBU), Clio is responsible for the strategic segment of Canadian Indigenous Banking for BMO Financial Group. Together with her team across the country, Clio serves First Nation, Metis and Inuit communities and organizations, bringing specific Indigenous market understanding and providing financial solutions. Clio represents the bank both externally and internally as an expert resource, acting as the bank’s senior leader representative within Indigenous Communities.
Clio has over a decade of experience in Financial Services. Prior to joining BMO, she held roles at another financial institution, including in Indigenous Banking where she was responsible for Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada and established a track record that includes managing on-reserve financing of infrastructure projects and First Nations-owned economic development corporations. Before that, she worked at BMO in a number of progressive roles, one of which was Manager, Business Development in the IBU.
Clio is a member of Fond du Lac First Nation in Saskatchewan, with an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Masters in Finance from London Business School. She is active in the community and currently serves on the Boards of Directors at Metrolinx and Anishnawbe Health Toronto. Clio is passionate about making an impact in the areas of housing and infrastructure.
