BMO’s Tony Tintinalli recognized on Crain’s Chicago Notable LGBTQ Executives list

Crain’s Chicago Business has recognized Tony Tintinalli, Regional president, Chicago North region, on their Chicago’s Notable LGBTQ Executives list. Tony was recognized among 84 other top LGBTQ executives in Chicago for making an impact in the LGBTQ community, in our business, and in advancing workplace equality at BMO.

Tony has been with BMO for 21 years. He started his BMO journey in Canada, where he held a variety of roles ranging from sales headquarters strategy. His proven track record of sales growth and leadership enabled him to head up the largest personal bank market in downtown Toronto, and now he leads one of the largest markets in the U.S. in Chicago.

When he is not leading a team of highly skilled bankers, Tony spends his time as a board member of the BMO Pride Enterprise Resource Group (ERG), where he supports activities in the U.S and Canada, participates in listening sessions, mentors LGBTQ employees and engages in Pride Month planning. He was also the first BMO Branch Manager in Toronto to promote a transgender employee, and has continued to work to help further the careers of transgender employees at BMO.

“Diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of BMO’s core values and we are committed to having zero barriers and fostering a culture where our employees and our customers feel like they belong,” said Tony. “I’m proud to be able to contribute to this mission and be a part of an ERG that promotes an equitable and inclusive environment for all. “

In addition to his role as a BMO Pride board member, Tony has been an active board member of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) since late 2017, and was recently selected as the Chair of their Finance Committee. He involves himself in the organization’s fundraising events as much as possible, and is committed to the organization’s mission of getting to zero AIDS cases by 2030. He also provides strategic guidance for activities that drive AIDS awareness and education.

This recognition is a testament to the depth of Tony’s involvement in the LGBTQ community, and the leadership that he provides throughout the Chicagoland region.
