Born and raised in Winnipeg’s north end, Kevin Chief works in the field of education, training and employment. In 2019, he stepped down from his vice president position with Business Council of Manitoba to establish Chief Partnerships Manitoba Inc., which strives to build relationships that strengthen community.
Kevin has considerable public sector and community experience. Most recently, he spent two years as Vice President for the Business Council of Manitoba, and prior to that, six years representing Point Douglas as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. He is actively involved with the Winnipeg Jets True North Youth Foundation and the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc.
Kevin has been recognized for his contribution to community with numerous awards including but not limited to the Future Leaders of Manitoba Award for Community Service, the Manitoba Premier’s Volunteer Service Award, the Manitoba Hydro Spirit of the Earth Award, and the Aboriginal Youth Achievement Award.
